Nepalgunj Medical College is a private college that was founded in 1996 by a group of well-known businesspeople, medical experts, educators, and other well-known persons who came together to fulfil a societal commitment. They began their first batch of MBBS students in 1997, a year after the college opened, and students graduated in 2002. “Excellence in Medical Education” is NGMC’s motto. The college has two well-equipped teaching hospitals in the Bank district’s two largest cities: a 750-bed teaching hospital in Kolhapur and a 250-bed teaching hospital in Nepalgunj.
This college features a plethora of highly skilled and experienced professionals in every discipline, as well as ample human resources and cutting-edge equipment. Other attractions of this private college include academic seminars, conferences, and guest lectures by famous practitioners in the field of medical science from around the world. NGMC is ranked No. 10 in Nepal’s top 10 colleges and No. 16961 globally. The Medical Council of India (MCI), the Medical Council of Malaysia, and other SAARC countries do not recognize the NGMC.
