In 2005, approximately 50 distinguished physicians from across the country established a hospital in the private sector to provide specialized care. They named it Green Life Hospital, and it was a huge success. So, in 2009, they decided to establish a medical college that would be a non-governmental, non-profit, self-sustaining project that would benefit humanity.

This college was founded in 2009. The college begins operations in 2010 with the enrollment of 51 students in the first batch. Since its inception, the college has grown tremendously and evolved into a magnificent center for learning and development. At the moment, we enroll 110 students per year. A certain number of seats are reserved for international students. At the moment, there are 76 foreign students studying, 50 of whom are male and 16 of whom are female.

We are constantly evaluating and improving our program to ensure that students receive the best medical education possible. Our educational strategy is to foster a positive learning environment and guide our students toward acquiring the necessary knowledge, skills, and temperament to practice medicine and be a competent health care professional group.

Green Life Medical College (GMC) is affiliated with the University of Dhaka and is approved by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), the Government of Bangladesh, and the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC). It is accredited by the General Medical Council of the United Kingdom and is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools and the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.
